Who Is Jesus?

 veryone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments. Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:1-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus asked His disciples a straight forward question about Himself. "When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:13-17‬ ‭NLT The same question is being asked of us today. Who is Jesus? This question demands an answer. What we do with this question determines our eternal destiny. Everything hinges on the answer to this question. Who is HE??? This is the most important question you will ever answer. Do you know the answer? If so, raise your hand and call it out. I know who He is. He is the ONE AND ONLY SON OF GOD!!! He is the Christ (Messiah - Daniel 9:25).
"Christ " is the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew word "Messiah". Both mean "Anointed One". Jesus is Divine in nature. He did not find His beginning in a stable in Bethlehem. Yes, He was physically manifest to the world (this is called "the incarnation") through a virgin named Mary (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke chapters 1 and 2). However, Jesus existed before the world began. Jesus said this: “Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.” John‬ ‭17:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬ John, the beloved, said this about Jesus: “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Jesus is the Creator! “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:15-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬ There are so many more scriptures we could share here. Jesus is the Christ!!! He was, and is, sinless. He, the sinless ONE, died in our stead. He paid sins awful price. He calls to you today - Who do you say I AM? What is your answer?? Every man must choose to accept or reject Him. I know my answer! I wish I could shout this so loud that it would silence all the clamor and noise of the world - "JESUS IS LORD! HE IS THE CHRIST THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD"!!!!!!! My soul cries out from its depths. There is no one else who can save! I love you my Jesus!! You are the lover of my soul. Can you say that? Will you say that? Come on children of God! Let's join Creation in a shouted anthem of praise to the ONE and ONLY Christ. Now that we have made our verbal affirmation, let's live out our practical demonstration of His Lordship! The two go hand in hand.
