Where Do You Stand?

They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water.” ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭NLT‬

Deliberately forgetting - this is a choice to reject the Lord as Creator. Romans 1:25 says “They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.” NLT‬‬ I encourage you to take the time to read Romans 1:18-32. This will further elaborate on the utter foolishness of man when he rejects God as Creator and the corresponding judgment that follows. We live in an age when evolutionary philosophy has taken the place of Creation in our public schools and television programs. This propaganda originated in the dark minds of depraved humanity. This same absurd nonsense has even infiltrated the church and has been accepted by those who profess to know our Lord Jesus. You CANNOT truly know Jesus as Lord and teach anything other than creation. To say Jesus is Lord is to recognize Him as the Supreme Creator of all things.
“In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1:10-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:15-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬ The only way anyone can deny the second coming of Christ is to deny His Lordship as Creator. If you can dismiss creation you can also reject His second coming. What a person believes about Creation determines what they believe about the rest of the Bible. If someone rejects the literal account of Creation in Genesis Chapter 1 then they can also reject the rest of the Bible because everything is connected to the authenticity and authority of God’s Word!!! I know in whom I have believed!! Paul said it like this in 2 Timothy 1:12 “That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.”
