“They will live in prosperity, and their children will inherit the land. The Lord is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant.”
Psalms 25:13-14 NLT For those who fear and choose the Lord, there is the promise of blessing. Prosperity and posterity are two of those things. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of true life. Only righteousness can guard our lives from the consequences of evil. The only hope our children have is the Lord Jesus Christ. Choosing to live an ungodly life always leads to an inevitable end - a cursed life. Evil never honors those who choose its path. To the contrary, evil slays those who trifle with it. “Calamity will surely destroy the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be punished.” Psalms 34:21 NLT No good can come from choices that are unrighteous. We reap what we sow! “Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.” Galatians 6:7 NLT We cannot expect to gain a righteous end from an unrighteous choice. Right now, I know of many who are reeling from the consequences of choices made. Their personal lives, and their children's lives, are ravaged by satanic bondage. Like a run away train, headed down the wrong track, they rush headlong through life, awaiting the collision ahead. Their families are torn to shreds and their lives are marked by misery. Initially, evil was attractive, but it didn't turn out the way things appeared. Evil always dangles it's bait in front of us, hoping to entice us into its grasp. Once we cave into the temptation, we become victims of our own choosing. Furthermore, not only have we become victims, so have our children. Generational curses are placed upon our posterity when we choose to live evil lives. All of us have made evil choices in our lives. We all live with some form of regret with past sin. Youthful lusts draw us all into foolish choices. None of us are without sin! However, some choose to continue down the road of disaster while others choose to turn to the Lord for rescue. Those who have turned to the Lord for forgiveness, and who have determined to live for Him, have seen the grace of God sweep into our lives with His great mercy and break the chains of darkness that had us bound. The curse is broken in the name of Jesus!! Prosperity and posterity are the inheritance of those who choose the Lord. True prosperity is a life lived in righteousness. Evil can pay with "seemingly" momentary happiness, but never with true satisfaction. Righteousness, on the other hand, always pays with peace, contentment, and confidence of the future. Let's choose to live for the Lord! Prayer for today: Father, in Jesus name, I ask that You forgive my sin, heal my hurts, and restore my life. Break any generational curses that Satan and his minions have placed over me. Liberate my children and future generations from the grip of evil and help us walk in Your prosperity. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray!!! Amen!
