“To the faithful you show yourself faithful; to those with integrity you show integrity. To the pure you show yourself pure, but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd. You rescue the humble, but you humiliate the proud.”
Psalms 18:25-27 NLT God honors faithfulness, integrity, purity, and humility. These characteristics are synonymous with the character of Almighty God! When we claim to be His child, we are, in essence, claiming that we are like Him in our character. After all, if we are truly His, shouldn't we have the traits of our Father? Are you faithful in your Christian conduct? Are you a person of integrity? Are you pure in your motives and methods? Do you demonstrate humility in your behavior? Anyone who professes Jesus Christ as Lord should seek to live their life with these characteristics. Jesus is always faithful. His character is flawless, completely pure. He lives in utter integrity. He humbled Himself in obedience to the very act of sacrifice. Because of these traits, He is exalted and has the name above every name. Listen to what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians Chapter 2: “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:3-11 NLT Jesus is the epitome of faithfulness, integrity (honorable ethics and morality) purity, and humility. Let's strive to be like Him! Ask Him to live through you. Ask Him to tear down all the things in your life that are not like Him. Then, ask Him to mold you into His image and begin living your life under His Lordship rather than your own carnal nature. If you ask Him, He will baptize you with His Spirit and give you the power to live like Him. Only in the power of the Holy Spirit can any of us live as we should. “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves" "But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” Galatians 5:16, 22-25 NLT Prayer for today: Father, in the most mighty name of Jesus, forgive me of my shortcomings in these things. I beg you to baptize me in the power of the Holy Spirit. Let me experience Your purging, purifying power. Mold me into Your likeness and help me live like You. May my character demonstrate that I am truly Yours.
