Tell Someone of His Work

“Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me. For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke. If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭66:16-20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The psalmist wanted to tell others what God had done for him. This is what we should do too. We should testify of God's work in our lives. Has God brought you out of the pit of despair? Tell someone the story. Share the goodness of the Lord. Perhaps your story will help someone who is in that pit right now.  An interesting statement is made by the psalmist about his  sin that had to be confessed to God. He recognized that sin separates us from God. Only through repentance can we be restored. We must recognize our sin, repent of it, and receive forgiveness.  “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ This will assure us that we are in fellowship with our Maker.  We cannot live any way we choose and expect God to be ok with it. We must live under the conscientious acknowledgement of God in all that we do.  “And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬ In this way, we can walk in harmony with Him. When this happens, the communication channel with God is open and clear. When we have a clean heart and an open channel of communication, we can't help but experience the divine hand of God entering our situation and bringing deliverance. Aren't you so glad for what He has done for you? His unfailing love has steadfastly maintained us as we have navigated through the maze of our wanderings. God is never away doing something else, negligent in His responsibilities, or guilty of wrong doing. He is forever faithful!!! We are the ones who falter! Today, take the time to reflect on His faithfulness and tell someone else of His work in your life.
