Take Heart

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:3-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It is the highest honor to be a child of God! We have been shown God's great mercy through His Son, Jesus Christ. Because of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ we have an eternal hope of salvation that assures us of the coming inheritance. We can face any situation in life with absolute confidence. There is nothing that this world can do that can take that away. I am His. He is mine. What can separate us from the love of God? Nothing!! What can stop Him from fulfilling His promise? Nothing!! We can stand in any circumstance of this life, no matter what, with the deep settled satisfaction that it's ok. God's got it. This current life is fading and decaying. The life inside us, through the presence of the Holy Spirit, is steadfast and unchanging.
"That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬. The life we long for is already inside us. We are simply serving and waiting until the unveiling of the kingdom. Then, and there, our bodies will be transformed from corruptible to incorruptible, mortal to immortal (see I Corinthians 15:53). Our eyes are fixed and our home awaits. Take heart child of God. The day we see His face will repay, and erase, all of our current hardships.
