The wicked will go down to the grave. This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God.” Psalms 9:17 NLT
"What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.” Psalms 33:12 NLT “Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” Proverbs 14:34 NLT “In the past He permitted all the nations to go their own ways, but He never left them without evidence of Himself and His goodness. For instance, He sends you rain and good crops and gives you food and joyful hearts.” Acts of the Apostles 14:16-17 NLT “When you crossed the Jordan River and came to Jericho, the men of Jericho fought against you, as did the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. But I gave you victory over them. And I sent terror ahead of you to drive out the two kings of the Amorites. It was not your swords or bows that brought you victory. I gave you land you had not worked on, and I gave you towns you did not build—the towns where you are now living. I gave you vineyards and olive groves for food, though you did not plant them. “So fear the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone. But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”” Joshua 24:11-15 NLT "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT I encourage you to read verses 11 - end of the chapter of 2 Chronicles 7, it is powerful. Our nation is like a run away train headed down the wrong track. The only hope of it's preservation is repentance and revival. The freedom and extraordinary blessings we enjoy in this nation are from the hand of God. Let us humble ourselves before Him in repentance and ask Him to withhold the judgment we so deserve. Today, let us pray this prayer: “Won’t you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you?” Psalms 85:6 NLT
