“Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods. He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too. Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!”
Psalms 95:1-7 NLT Sing to God! Shout with Joy to Him today! He is our salvation! He is worthy of all our praise and thanksgiving! Praise is recognizing and exalting Him for who He is. Thanksgiving is recognizing and expressing what He has done. These go hand in hand. Praise and thanksgiving are the same coin, just opposite sides. These two things are mutually inclusive. When we praise God we set our hearts in line with His character. When we thank Him, we respond to His benevolence. It is impossible to give genuine thanks without recognizing who God is. When we give thanks we are, in all due respects, recognizing Gods existence and His benevolent character. We are giving Him the credit for being the source of our bounty. Thanksgiving finds it's roots in praise.May we, vocally, give praise and thanks to God today! Let us humbly kneel before Him in an attitude of worship. Let's acknowledge our utter dependence upon Him for all things! He is the One True God!!! In Jesus name!!! Amen!
