“But you, O God, will send the wicked down to the pit of destruction. Murderers and liars will die young, but I am trusting you to save me.” Psalms 55:23 NLT
Wicked men will meet their destructive end. God will punish the wicked with everlasting destruction. “For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.” Psalms 1:6 NLT “When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation.” Proverbs 10:25 NLT “Fear of the Lord lengthens one’s life, but the years of the wicked are cut short. The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing. The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked.” Proverbs 10:27-29 NLT “The wicked are crushed by disaster, but the godly have a refuge when they die.” Proverbs 14:32 NLT When Christ returns, the wicked will meet their eternal fate. “and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire, rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus: who shall suffer punishment, even eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 NLT The memory of the wicked will be forgotten. “We have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away.” Proverbs 10:7 NLT Let us not fret over the temporary life of the wicked. Although they may flourish for a moment, that moment will pass and eternal consequences will come. “Don’t fret because of evildoers; don’t envy the wicked. For evil people have no future; the light of the wicked will be snuffed out.” Proverbs 24:19-20 NLT “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.” Proverbs 24:16 NLT Only what is done in the name of Christ will last eternally. Don't spend your life on things that will end in nothing! Live a godly life! God will always defend and preserve the godly!
