O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer! From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude”
Psalms 61:1-4 NLT I share this scripture with you today because it resonates with my spirit. Today, my heart is overwhelmed! Yesterday, a brother in Christ, a fellow church member, and a personal friend, died in a motorcycle accident. His wife had passed away in December with complications from cancer. He leaves behind a 26 year old daughter that has special needs. The only place any of us can run to is our Rock. Jesus is our Rock and Strong Tower!!! Perhaps you are overwhelmed with something today. Let God lead you to the tower of His safety. There, he will comfort and strengthen you! Today's devotional is dedicated to the memory of David Holifield. I love you my friend! See you in the new heaven where all things will be made new!! (Revelation 21:1-7).
