The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations and thwarts all their schemes. But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken. What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.”
Psalms 33:10-12 NLT It is God who reigns. We are mere mortals. He sits enthroned forever! He will never age, develop gray hair, lose His eyesight, become hard of hearing, feeble, or retire! All nations are under His sovereign hand, whether they recognize it or not. America needs to remember this fact. God gave us this land, let us establish freedom of religion, and become the constitutional republic that we are today. Without God, America is nothing! Without God, all nations are nothing! Any nation that recognizes its dependence on God has made its first step toward success. However, it isn't enough to simply acknowledge God. The slogan "In God We Trust" is great, but it is empty if we only say the words without obeying His Word! At the end of each State of the Union speech, the President of the United States of America concludes with "God Bless the United States of America". This sounds good, but is only vain repetition if it is nothing more than a motto. We can say the words so easily, but it takes character to implement the principles of that profession. God can't, and won't, bless an immoral mess. We cannot continue to slaughter babies under the guise of "Planned Parenthood" (I Call it "Planned Murder") and expect God to bless our nation. Planned Parenthood is nothing more than an abortion clinic. Abortion is a stench in the nostrils of God! Our states, like New York, that celebrate the killing of a child, all the way up to the birth, are indicative of the state of our sinful condition. Other states are considering the same abortion law changes, now that they have been "motivated" by the audacity of New York! We celebrate the abomination of homosexuality and same sex marriage. We punish businesses who uphold Biblical convictions about right and wrong. We tell city councils that they can't pray in the name of Jesus. We call wrong right and right wrong. Our nation is overrun by drug addiction and our families are fragmented and dysfunctional. The pulpits of our churches seem to be more concerned about congregational acceptance and public popularity than Biblical preaching and teaching. We seek comfort and complacency rather than righteousness. We want religion as long as it props up our way of life. We seek conscience appeasement over consecration and conviction. We are a nation gone amuck. The only hope America has is to turn from it's wickedness and return to God. “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT The dead and dying hand of this nation lies at the threshold of the church. What will we, the church, do? Church, REPENT!!! Our nation depends on it!
