“O Lord, don’t rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your rage. Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony. I am sick at heart. How long, O Lord, until you restore me? Return, O Lord, and rescue me. Save me because of your unfailing love. For the dead do not remember you. Who can praise you from the grave? I am worn out from sobbing. All night I flood my bed with weeping, drenching it with my tears. My vision is blurred by grief; my eyes are worn out because of all my enemies. Go away, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my weeping. The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord will answer my prayer. May all my enemies be disgraced and terrified. May they suddenly turn back in shame.”
Psalms 6:1-10 NLT Have you ever been that desperate? David was in agony over his circumstances. His outlet from this great burden was His relationship with God! Only God can understand the totality of your situation. God is willing to hear your honest expression in the midst of your pain. He will let you process your struggle, even verbally. Perhaps, today, you need to let it out. Are you hurting and in desperation? Look to God and let Him be your bulwark in the battle. He is unchanged by circumstances! He is ever the same (Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8). You can rest assured that He is always there (Matthew 28:20). May this comfort you in your distress. He longs for you to come to Him. Cry out to Him and let Him pull you into His bosom and cradle you in His arms. Let His strong arms be your respite. Prayer for today: Father, in Jesus name, I run to You! Only You know and understand the specifics of my situation. I trust them into Your capable hands. Help me rest in You! I need Your refreshment to help me walk through this desert. You are my oasis!!!
