Luke 6:38 declares "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." (The same measure you use in giving will be used in giving back to you).
Some may respond, "well you just don't know how much it costs me to live." Now I realize that we all have living expenses and that some are under a tremendous burden, especially those who are single parents, those who have unusually high medical costs, and other things. Sometimes life is difficult. I have been there myself. My family has faced seemingly unbearable amounts of financial difficulties. Time doesn't allow me the privilege here to explain, just understand that I certainly identify with monetary struggles. Often the load has been crushing. Praise God I am still here and the future is bright. Satan would like nothing more than to see us overcome by circumstance and for us to abandon our principles of faith. Well, the time to pull the sword from it's sheath is when the enemy is at hand. Don't doubt in the darkness what God has shown you in the light. Don't give up the armor in the middle of the fight. Stand strong and do what God says. If we do, victory is assured. God's Word guarantees it. So when you feel you have nothing to give, just remember , you cannot have a garden if the seed never leaves your hand. Oh, and by the way, you always reap more than your sow. I have never seen a watermelon seed bring only a seed in return. It always brings a watermelon full of seeds. Go plant a garden. The Father waits to send the rain.
