Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.” 1 Peter 4:8-9 NLT
As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are to love one another like Christ loves us - unconditionally. We are to be eager to assist others in their time of need. I John 3:16-19 says: “We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God.” NLT Hebrews 13:1-3 says: “Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies.” NLT God is watching how we treat our fellow man, especially our brothers and sisters in Christ. Galatians 6:10 says: “Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.” NLT
