“Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose.”
Psalms 25:12 NLT Are you facing a decision in your life today? Don't make it until you have consulted with the Lord! God wants to guide you in everything you do. Don't make impulsive, spontaneous decisions. Those kind of decisions almost always lead to regret. Decisions are defining moments. Take each and every one of them and place them at the feet of Jesus. Ask Him the direct your steps and take charge of your mind. Submit yourself to the Holy Spirit and yield yourself to His Lordship! Repent of sin and ask God to restore you to right fellowship. God doesn't want to be a passenger on board your life, He wants to be owner (Lord). Jesus wants to pilot your plane, drive your car, walk in your shoes, work with your hands, and display Himself in you. He loves you so much and He has greater thoughts of your life than you do. Don't think for a moment that God is "disturbing" your life. No, my friend, He is LIFE! Every decision you make should come under His loving Lordship. When you don't know what to do, do nothing!! Wait on the Lord to give you His leading. Premature action can thwart things. Waiting is difficult, but it is vital. Impatience is a prodding rod of the devil. Listen to what the Psalmist said: “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms 27:14 NLT Sometimes you may feel like God isn't listening and you wonder if He is going to respond. In a moment like that, learn to trust Him and allow Him to work His will. His ways are higher than ours. His thoughts are broader than ours ““My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT He sees the past, the present, and the future. Who better to trust in these matters? God hasn't grown deaf, old, depressed, gray headed, feeble minded, or incapable. He is always at His best! Let this Word from God's Word give you comfort and confidence: “I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” Psalms 121:1-8 NLT Rest in Him, trust in Him, and move only as He guides and directs. In the Old Testament, when the Tabernacle (mobile worship tent) was erected, it would sit in the center of Israel's camp. There were 12 tribes of Israel. 3 tribes camped on the north, 3 on the south, 3 on the west, and 3 on the east. In the middle of all of them was the Tabernacle. A cloud would hover over it (see Exodus 40:34-38). The cloud was God's presence with them. When the cloud moved, the Tabernacle was dismantled and moved to where the cloud was going. When the cloud stopped, the Tabernacle was re-erected. The Tabernacle was a type/symbol of the believer. Even at night, a fire would appear in the cloud to allow the children of Israel to see the place of God's presence. Knowing the presence of God in dark times is absolutely vital. We must always allow the light of God to keep us focused on Him. We are mobile Temples of Almighty God (see I Corinthians 6:19 and 2 Corinthians 5:1). We, like the children of Israel, must put Jesus at the center of our lives and move as He moves. If we will do this, guaranteed success and victory is ours. God will never fail us and doing His will is the definition of success and victory. Got decisions to make today? Prayer for today: Father, in Jesus name, I humble myself before Your mighty hand. Forgive my transgressions and prepare my spirit, soul, and body to be wholly Yours. Help me move as You move. Help me think like You, see like You, walk like You, and work for You! Let everything I am be used as an instrument of Your loving Lordship! I love You my Lord Jesus!!
