“Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.” Psalms 37:7 NLT
Waiting is so hard! Most of us are impatient people. We are, by cultural influence, prone to instantaneous results. We want things and we want them now! This anxiousness only magnifies our difficulties and minimizes our peace. We need to learn the discipline of waiting. Just because we haven't received the answer we want, in the time we want, doesn't mean that God isn't aware of our situation and actively working on our behalf. While we wait, let us learn to rest in the shelter of His wings. “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” Psalms 91:4 NLT Let us come away from the rat race of life and find refreshment in His presence. There is no better place to be than in His care! Are you trying to bear up beneath a heavy burden today? Bring your burden to the Lord and leave it there. The rest you need is found only in Him! Stop trying and start trusting! “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”” Psalms 46:10 NLT
