“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work.” Philippians 4:1 NLT
Paul encouraged the Philippian believers to stay faithful to Jesus. He was also forthright with his love for them. Ministry wasn't a career or job to him. Paul genuinely loved his fellow believers. He saw them as his greatest reward. Their salvation and steadfast faith were the consolation prize of Paul's life. We need more ministers of the gospel who genuinely love the people they serve. Ministry isn't a job or career, it is a call from God. The greatest thing we can accomplish in life as servants of God is to love God and love other people.
