“The way God designed our bodies is a model for understanding our lives together as a church: every part dependent on every other part, the parts we mention and the parts we don’t, the parts we see and the parts we don’t. If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one part flourishes, every other part enters into the exuberance.”
1 Corinthians 12:25-26 MSG Being a born again follower of Jesus is the greatest thing we can know on this side of eternity. It is the highest honor to be chosen of God and precious in His sight. Being a part of the body of Christ, the Church, is an absolute privilege. We must never forget how wonderful it is to be a part of the greatest family on earth. When we recognize the sheer reality that God lets us be a part of His family, then, and only then will we have the perspective we need to be an asset to the body of Christ. It isn't about me. It is about us, collectively. When we live, and work, with the consideration of how our actions are affecting others we become effective in the advancement of the cause of Christ. Are you more concerned in how others are treating you or are you more concerned about how you are treating others? Think about it! Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, please help me never forget what an honor it is to know You and serve in Your church. Help me serve, today, in such a way that my actions speak louder than my words. Here I am, use me as you see fit.
