“And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News. For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ. And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.” Philippians 1:12-14 NLT
Paul's arrest, legal examinations, and his request to appear before the Roman emperor was all because of his faith in Christ. No matter what he had to face, he wanted to display the person of Jesus and preach the gospel. Even in the worst of circumstances he was determined to share Christ. His faith was so sure and strong that it had affected the palace guards, the fellow prisoners, and even those who were part of the local church. His example of fearless faith had emboldened the believers to speak up for Christ in spite of the threat of imprisonment and possible death. The faith of the early church exemplified authentic Christianity. Are you a true disciple of Jesus Christ? If so, stand firm and fearless in your faith. Allow God to use your circumstances as a stage to display His power and glory.
