Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus is the visible, physical presentation of the unseen Spirit God. This is stated with absolute clarity in today's scripture text. We must not be mistaken on Christ's identity. He is God!!! In John 4:24 we read “For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” NLT. Jesus is the physical, visible, tangible embodiment of the eternal Spirit God. In the physical body of Jesus dwells the fullness of the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). If this is something new to you, it is certainly not new to the truth. Let me give you another scripture to verify. “For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭NLT‬. The King James Version says it like this: "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬ The deity of Jesus Christ is my favorite subject in the scriptures. If Jesus was not, and is not, God then we are utterly and hopelessly lost. Only God could qualify as a sinless sacrifice for the sins of the world. In John 14:8-9 we read “Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:8-9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ When talking about Abraham, Jesus was questioned about how He could have known Abraham when He was so young and yet Abraham had lived so long ago. “Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad.” The people said, “You aren’t even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham? ” Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM! ” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:56-58‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Jesus was stating that He was the I AM! In Exodus 3:14-15 God replied to Moses, “ I AM WHO I AM. Say this to the people of Israel: I AM has sent me to you.” God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭3:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Without doubt, Jesus is God!!!
