“O Lord, hear. O Lord, forgive. O Lord, listen and act! For your own sake, do not delay, O my God, for your people and your city bear your name.”” Daniel 9:19 NLT
Today is National Day of Prayer. The theme this year is "For Your Great Name's Sake". Please take time to meditate on these verses and pray for our nation. We need God's mercy and grace to survive. “The wicked will go down to the grave. This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God.” Psalms 9:17 NLT “What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.” Psalms 33:12 NLT “Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” Proverbs 14:34 NLT “In the past he permitted all the nations to go their own ways, but he never left them without evidence of himself and his goodness. For instance, he sends you rain and good crops and gives you food and joyful hearts.”” Acts of the Apostles 14:16-17 NLT Do you love America? Please take a moment today to pray for our most needful nation. Only God can sustain us. Let us repent of our murderous slaying of the unborn (over 50 million since Jan. 22, 1973). We have accepted what God calls abomination (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender). We have accepted the dysfunction of the family as the normal. We have compromised the truth in our pulpits in order to appease the congregation. We no longer submit to the Bible as God's Word! The list is seemingly endless. “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT Church, it's time to repent. “For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News? And also, “If the righteous are barely saved, what will happen to godless sinners?”” 1 Peter 4:17-18 NLT “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John 1:9 NLT
