“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.”
Romans 8:31-34 NLT Do you ever remember a time in your life when you were bullied by someone? I distinctly remember an instance in high school. A young man who was older than me was struggling to graduate. He had been in high school longer than he had wanted. He was made fun of because of his age and he wasn't well accepted. My heart went out to him and he became my personal friend. One day as we were leaving a class a bully came up to him and knocked his books out of his hands and was terrorizing him. Filled with anger at the scene before me, I jumped in front of the bully and looked him dead in the eye. I said "If you want to knock someone's books out their hands then knock them out of mine." From that day forward, the bully stopped bothering my friend. In fact, the bully wanted to become my friend. All he needed was someone to stand up to him. Saint of God, there is someone who stands for you. God! He has your life in His hands. If He is, indeed, your Savior and Lord, then trust and know that you are not a victim. You are a VICTOR! Let His strength be yours. Nothing can overcome the child of God! The child of God overcomes! God will stand for you against the great bully of life, the devil. I leave you with these passages: “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” 1 John 4:4 NLT "For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 NLT
