“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.”
Ephesians 1:4-8 NLT To think that God knew us and loved us before the world was created is mind boggling. The foreknowledge of God is beyond our comprehension. He is omniscient (all knowing). God sees past, present, and future. He transcends time. God is not limited or constrained by time, He is eternal. His infinite (never ending-limitless-immeasurable) power, knowledge, and presence are characteristics that we cannot grasp. We are finite (limited-measurable). The fact that He is so much greater than us and yet He loves us is unexplainable. The simple fact and reality is this: God loved us because He is love. "Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” 1 John 4:7-10 NLT ““For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NLT WOW!!! I am so glad that I am loved that much. Now, it is my privilege to represent Him in this sin cursed world where hate is so abounding and to be a touch of His love. Prayer for today: Father, in Jesus name, thank you for loving me so lavishly. Thank You for giving Your Son for me that I could be saved. I stand amazed at Your great love!!!
