We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.”
Colossians 1:11-14 NLT Paul prayed for the spiritual strength of the Colossian believers. This strength would enable them to endure the satanic attacks that come in this sin cursed world. Satanic attacks don't always come in obvious form. Often, the devil will come to church, dress like other church goers, talk the lingo, and become accepted among the fellowship. However, his mission is to implant false teaching in the hearts of those within the church. Using crafty speech and charismatic personality, he invades the ranks and leads the flock astray. All the way back to Genesis 3, Satan has presented his agenda in ways that sound like the truth but are, rather, veiled deceptions. We have been rescued from the deception and darkness of this world through the power of Jesus Christ. We are redeemed by His divine, sinless, blood. Knowing who He is, and what He has accomplished, is vitally important to the salvation of mankind. Any attempt by Satan to distort the deity of Jesus Christ should be rejected by the church. Let us stand fast in our Lord and die for the truth of our Lord and Savior. He, and He alone, is Lord!!!
