“He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.” 2 Corinthians 5:15 NLT
The question that we must ask ourselves is this: Are we living for ourselves or Christ? Loving for Christ is much more than going to church, owning a bible, or even being a "member" of a local church. Living for Christ is dying to ones self and allowing the Holy Spirit to have control of our words, thoughts, and deeds. Knowing Jesus as Savior is not simply about having an eternal fire insurance policy. He wants to be Lord of our lives. When we allow Him to live as Lord of our lives, we really live life the way it was meant to be lived. We are not put here to pursue the "American Dream". We are here to seek God's kingdom. “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33 NLT How are you living today? Prayer for today: Father, in Jesus name, help me to see life through Your eyes, hear it with Your ears, process it with Your mind, understand it with your heart, and live it by Your Holy Spirit.
