Praise God that we still live in a free land! However, We need to pray for our country. Only God can save us from the impending judgment. We have abandoned the faith that the nation was built on. We have sinned against our Father in so many ways. We have slaughtered over fifty million babies under abortion on demand as a convenient form of birth control. We have desecrated the holy institution of marriage by redefining it to include homosexual relationships. We have lived in sexual immorality. We have robbed God of the tithe and offering. We have lived in luxury while the house of God is left in ill repair. There are so many other things, including our self righteousness and spiritual apathy.

Yes, He loves us, but He is calling us to repentance. He will punish us if we do not repent. If He didn't spare Israel, He certainly won't spare America.

Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton cannot save our nation. Only Jesus can heal our hearts and land!!! It is time for our response. The future of our children and grandchildren are in the balance. Are you a part of the problem or part of the solution? I propose these scriptures to you today for consideration:

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let us resolve to repent and receive refreshing from God. Perhaps God will spare our nation, at least a while longer, because of the prayers of the righteous.

Prayer for today: Father, in Jesus name, I thank you for the great land you have allowed me to live in. Please forgive me of my sins. I repent on behalf of our nation. We beg for Mercy!!
