“What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever. But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? ” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 NLT
One day, when Jesus returns, our corruptible physical bodies will be translated into incorruptible, immortal, eternal bodies. The sorrow, pain, heartache, and grief that we have experienced while living in this current state will change forever. Our current bodies are racked with pain, disease, sickness, and ultimately death. Because of sin, we are spiritually and physically dead. “But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-6 NLT When we truly accept Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord, we are made alive again. The inward man is made eternally alive. The outward man is still perishing. (see 2 Corinthians 4:16). The thrilling news is that even our bodies are going to be made new and eternal. God has given His Son Jesus as the payment for our redemption. That redemption includes our spirit, soul, and body as well as all of creation. "And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us.” Romans 8:23 NLT One day, all things will be made new (see Revelation 21 and 22). Those who are born again will experience the home makeover of the ages. Jesus death, burial, and resurrection has made this all possible!!! Can I hear a shout of praise from the children of God! Let us lift our praises to the Triumphant King of kings. He has delivered us from the power and penalty of sin! Hallelujah!!!!!!! Prayer for today: Father, in Jesus name, I praise you for life. Eternal life!!! Lord Jesus, thank you for dying in my place and victoriously rising over death and the grave. Holy Spirit, help me live this life in the power and name of the resurrected Lord-JESUS!!!!!!!
