“After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power. For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. And the last enemy to be destroyed is death.” 1 Corinthians 15:24-26 NLT
One day there will be no more death! We will reign as kings and priests on the newly made earth in the literal, physical presence of Almighty God! “And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth.”” Revelation 5:10 NLT What a day that will be! Jesus came to earth to restore the kingdom that He gave us in the beginning. “Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”” Genesis 1:28 NLT We were not created to struggle and die. We were made to thrive in the presence of God and enjoy the extraordinary privilege of governing the earth. Right now, we strive from day to day to survive. We eat our meals and fight our battles until at last we sink into the dust from which we came. Brothers and sisters, we were created to live, not die. Jesus has restored this great reality. Only through Him can we live on the resurrected earth with resurrected bodies in the presence of the Resurrected Lord. “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.” Revelation 21:1-3 NLT That is the day we all should be living for!! Prayer for today: Father, in Jesus name, thank you for redeeming us from the eternal grip of Satan. Thank you for restoring the life we had in the beginning. We patiently wait for Your return. One day, You will make all things new!!!
